La Lujanita - the Small Hydropower (SHP), has two generator sets - of national origin - of 850 kW each which use 2 Double Francis turbines coupled to these generators. The gross head is 9.60 m with the capacity to absorb up to 11.5 m 3 /seg each one.

Both the design and the construction of the turbines were trusted to a metallurgical company from the Province of Buenos Aires.

The generator room is completed by an internal substation with 2 national, dry-insulated 0.4/13.2 kV of 1.250 kVA transformers which allow to deliver the generated energy at 13.2 kV.

The connection to the SADI (according to its Spanish acronym, Argentine Interconnection System) is made through the EDEMSA grid by means of a 13.2 kV, 750 m long dry Insulation Cable up to the connection point at the “Ciencias Agrarias” distributor of this company at 13.2 kV.

It should be noted that the local component used in this Work exceeds 95%.
